Ontario's regulated iGaming market remained on a strong growth path in June 2026. iGaming Ontario's monthly report put total non-promotional cash wagers at approximately $9.458 billion, up 30.3% from June 2025. Gaming revenue reached $400.6 million, up 30.6% year over year.
| Vertical | June 2026 wagers | June 2026 revenue |
|---|---|---|
| Casino | $8.299B | $316.8M |
| Betting | $1.033B | $78.6M |
| Peer-to-peer poker | $126M | $5.2M |
Casino still dominates the market
Online casino remained the largest part of Ontario's regulated activity by a wide margin. June casino wagering was about $8.30 billion, accounting for close to 88% of total handle. Casino revenue was $316.8 million.
Sports betting got a World Cup lift
Betting handle reached roughly $1.03 billion. Year-over-year growth in the betting vertical was strong during a month when the World Cup brought major football attention to Canada, including matches in Toronto. Even so, betting still represented a much smaller share of Ontario's overall iGaming volume than casino play.
More active accounts
The report counted approximately 1.319 million active player accounts. Active accounts are not the same as unique people because an individual can hold accounts with multiple operators, but the metric remains useful for tracking market participation over time.
Why these numbers matter to bettors
Large market totals do not tell you whether a specific sportsbook or casino is good, but they do show that Ontario's regulated ecosystem has substantial liquidity and competition. The more useful player-level questions remain licensing, pricing, withdrawal terms, game rules, responsible-gambling tools and whether an operator fits your province.
